The Humble Company

The Humble Co. is a Swedish company that operates in the wellness and health sector with a focus on the planet. The products are all designed and made in Sweden, between minimalism and sustainability.

In addition, the brand has its own charitable foundation, which we will discuss in more detail, with the aim of improving the health conditions of children in third-world countries.

The company was founded in 2013 by a dentist named Noel Abdayem with the intention of revolutionizing the industry through the design of its products and the materials used.

The products are made under the supervision of a team of dentists to give the consumer a guarantee of quality. In addition, the ingredients used, which we will discuss in the next paragraphs, are all environmentally friendly.

The company’s goal is precisely to raise awareness about the environment and poorer communities in the oral-care industry.

Products originated in the Scandinavian country can now be found in thousands of stores and clinics around the world.

The seven P‘s

The Humble Co. is based on very clear values and the goals it pursues are just as solid. It is built on seven pillars that in English are also called the seven P’s: prevention, premium, professionalism, planet, people, simplicity, and profit.

All the concepts listed refer to the idea of an aesthetically simple but pleasant and easy-to-use product, which pays attention to the environment and benefits as many people as possible. Minimalism and sustainability are always at the base of all the products made by the brand.

The plastic problem

The company is very committed to the fight against excessive plastic consumption. In fact, they define it as a real fight since more than 10 billion plastic products are consumed every year in the oral hygiene world. It must be said that unfortunately most of these end up in the oceans. For this reason, The Humble Co offers an alternative.

Scandinavian products are chosen and admired around the world for their simple yet satisfying and effective lines. The company has incorporated these influences into its products while always paying attention to the environment.

Certifications:

The Humble Co. has obtained several certifications thanks to the attention it has shown in recent years towards the environment and people. Some of these are the ones issued by the Fda, PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals), and the Vegan certificate.

PETA Cruelty-free and Vegan certifications certify that the products bearing the label do not contain any elements of animal origin and have not been tested on animals.

Environmental Ingredients and Materials

One of the main objectives of The Humble Co. is to make the world of oral hygiene more sustainable. The toothbrushes, for example, are composed of a biodegradable bamboo handle and nylon-6 bristles. The packaging, on the other hand, is composed of recycled materials that can be disposed of in the trash.

Not only the toothbrushes but also all kinds of toothpaste, flosses, and all other products of the brand are made of recyclable and sustainable ingredients and are also vegan. Despite the great attention to ingredients and materials, aesthetics also matter and are a perfect balance between minimalism and sustainability.

Humble Smile Foundation

The Humble Smile Foundation provides dental support to children raised in vulnerable communities who otherwise would not have access to this type of care.

In this way, they try to provide the means to prevent oral problems and diseases.

The innovative and effective models developed by the company in the promotion of oral hygiene are sensitive to the different societies and to the care of the environment, adapting to individual situations.

The foundation was founded in 2015 and has since followed 7 projects in Latin America, Sub-Saharan Africa, and East Asia. It has also supported more than 20 projects around the world through the use of professionals and donations. In total, they have worked on 52 projects in different communities in 37 different countries around the world.

The Foundation’s work contributes to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly those of ensuring a healthy lifestyle and promoting wellness at all ages.
